Our Space Topic

In year 5 we have all enjoyed learning so much in our recent science topic about Outer Space. Children have produced excellent work, both in and outside of school, and their interest for the topic has been 'out of this world'! Furthermore we have been lucky enough to have been studying the topic during a very active period for the field of Astronomy.

Super Blue Blood Moon

On Wednesday 31st January a rare Astronomical event took place. The Super Blue Blood Moon only occurs approximately every 150 years and made for a very interesting sight for our budding year 5 astronomers. Thank you to Chloe Shepard's Grandad for sending in the wonderful photo above. Please follow this link for more info -
