Meet the Governors

Our Governing Board

Members of the Governing Board at Stokenchurch Primary School are appointed as Parent, Local Authority or Community Governors. We have recently changed our structure from a committee based governing board to using the Circle Model of Governance. We hold 6 Full Governing Board meetings each academic year. Each of our governors attend all Full Governing Board meetings and have areas of responsibility covering all aspects of our school life. Each Governor is linked to a Year Group which they move with as the children move up the school. In this way, stronger relationships can be built alongside the opportunity to be aware of development and progress throughout a child’s time at Stokenchurch Primary School. You will see your child’s/children’s Year Link Governor(s) at many events such as Class Assemblies, Christmas Productions and Sports Days. Please take an opportunity to introduce yourself and get to know your Year Link Governor(s).

Please see documents below detailing more about the Governing Board at Stokenchurch Primary School. Please note, as per statutory guidelines, some of these documents are for the last academic year and will be updated at the end of the current academic year.

Diversity Data

The Governors of Stokenchurch Primary School believe it is important that boards reflect the diversity of the school communities they serve. Diverse boards promote inclusive school environments and provide diverse role models for staff and young people. The Governors are currently collecting data on the diversity of the board, including data on age, gender and ethnicity. They will use that data to inform their recruitment and training needs and ensure there is always a diverse range of perspectives around the table to support robust decision making. We do not publish this diversity data online as individual Governors could be identified and we have a legal obligation to protect their personal data.
