Friday 8th January:
Task 1: Spend 5-10 minutes practising your times tables on TTRockStars.
Task 2: Coordinate Battleships
For a fun Friday challenge we’d like you to have a go at some coordinate battleships! You have to download and use the instructions and grid to setup your own ships then play with a family member or a classmate (over the phone, on zoom or however you can!) to use your coordinates knowledge to try and sink your opponent’s battleships!
Challenge: Increase the number of battleships or decrease the size of the battleships. Can you identify a tactic for placing the battleships that is more likely to lead to a win? Is putting them close to each other the best strategy or spacing them out as far as possible the best tactic? What is the best strategy to use when you land a hit to finish off the entire battleship?
