27.04.20

Monday 27th April:

Task 1: 10 minutes (minimum) of independent or shared reading, followed by a reading response activity from the reading journals hand out (available below).

 Task 2: Film Guides

✎ Choose a Film Guide (from the resources to download section below) for a film you have seen. If there is not a guide for a film you have seen, see if there is a way you can watch one. Most of the films are available on one or more of the popular streaming services (Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney+, NowTV).

✎ If you do not have access to any streaming services or films, see if there is a way you can use the guides as inspiration to explore a film of your choice.

 Task 3: Spelling: e or no e? (Unit 26)

From the Nelson Spelling textbook (may be a photocopied booklet): Unit 25 on pages 56 and 57. Complete in the exercise book provided. We recommend recording the short date, subject and focus at the start (just like we would in school, but simpler to help you keep track).

  • Must: Complete Focus
  • Should: Complete Extra
  • Could: Complete Extension

✎ Read through the slides. There are also video clips to watch throughout the presentation so we recommend accessing this on a computer if possible. Take the time to watch these through before you move on.

✎ There are activities you should complete on slides 3/4/5 (choose one - or more if you'd like), 6, 14 and 17.

✎ Roll the die 10 times, and each time, answer a question from the appropriate section on page 2 of the resource.
