Welcome to Year 5 Spring Term 2, 2026!

Dear Parents, Carers and Pupils,

Welcome back!  We hope you have had a half term break.

This term, our main topics are: DT – Cooking and Nutrition: Developing a Recipe and Geography: Why do Oceans Matter?

In English, we will be writing a setting description and an explanation text using the book Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo.

In maths, we will focus on decimals and percentages, then a second unit covering perimeter, area and statistics.

You can find details of homework on the relevant page under 'In this section'.  

PE days will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays – please ensure that your child has the correct, named school PE kit on these days.
