Run by Mr Williams and Mr Birdseye for years 5 & 6.
This football club is invite only and regularly participates in both friendly and county league matches through out the year.
This season has seen some outstanding accomplishments made by Stokenchurch Primary school's U10 and U11 football team so far. Though the U10 team’s cup run has sadly come to an end this year they have worked hard and will continue to train hard, learning from the U11s, in preparation for next year’s competitions.
We are proud to have seen the year 6 boys finish the year as U11 district runners-up, which allowed them to progress to the County Finals. The boys played magnificent football which allowed them to progress in this competition (whilst beating the team that beat them in the district final!) to make it all the way to the final of this competition as well. Unfortunately, the team fell afoul of penalties once more but maintain a record of having never been beaten in regular time.
Credit goes to every member of the team who, through working hard in training and showing an impressive collaborative spirit, have had such a successful year so far. The boys that should show great pride in the way they performed and represented the school include: Matthew Nugent, Luke Rider, Jack Jacobs, Connor Jackson (C), Reilly Hudson, Marshall Hall, Jack Pearce and Cameron Sloan. Stokenchurch 7 - Burford 0
Stokenchurch Scorers - Reilly Hudson (3), Jack Pearce (3) & Marshall Lee Hall (1)
Stokenchurch 0 - Burford 1
Stokenchurch 7 - Hamilton 0
The game started off well with Reilly hitting a cross in to the box that beat everyone and ended up in the back of the net. We were quick to get back on the ball with Marshall scoring a wonder strike.
Just before the break Reilly put in a corner only for Connor to tap in and to make the score at half time 3-0 to us.
After half time Hamilton School had several chances as they broke through our defence of Jack J & Luke but fortunately we had some great saves from Matt in goal to prevent them scoring.
From a corner Matt collected the ball and threw it up to Lewis who fired a shot in to the bottom corner. We kept pushing forward with Marshall scoring two more goals and Jack P rounding of the scoring to take the final score to 7-0.
Match Report by: Reilly Hudson & Matthew Nugent
Game 1 Stokenchurch 1 - Longwick 1
Game 2 Stokenchurch 0 - Naphill 2
Game 3 Stokenchurch 1 - St Teresa's 0
Game 4 Stokenchurch 3 - Longwick 1
The U11’s travelled to Naphill for the District Cup.
1st Game - We had kick off and we had a good strong defence thanks to Liam and Harry. We had an early chance to score a goal from a corner, Jack whipped the ball towards the goal which ended up with an intercepted header from Elliot which sadly hit the crossbar. Unfortunately Longwick scored. In the second half Jack scored an excellent goal to end the game 1-1.
2nd Game - Our second game was against Naphill, unfortunately we lost 2-0.
3rd Game - We played St Teresa’s. We had a cracking shot by Elliot but it was saved. At half time Mr Williams made a change and asked Sam to go on to the pitch. He won us the game after a cracking long pass from Elliott and a sharp shot from Sam that went straight to the back of the net.
4th Game - In the last game Longwick went 1-0 up but Sam brought it back to 1-1 at half time. Sam scored to make it 2-1 then Elliot scored to make it 3-1 which he topped off with a great celebration.
