On Wednesday, Y4 travelled to the Hazard Alley centre in Milton Keynes. This is a safety centre and the children learned so much about keeping safe in an almost real-life context. They learned about what to do in a fire, road safety, cycle safety, how to make an emergency phone call, how to keep safe online, how to keep safe around water, how to put a casualty into the recovery position and call for help…the list goes on! The children behaved brilliantly and really enjoyed their day out. These valuable life lessons will hopefully stay with them and I’d like to thank Miss Blandford and Miss Lovell for organising the opportunity.
