Y6 Isle of Wight - Day 5

Year 6 Residential Trip — PGL Little Canada, Isle of Wight
Friday 20th June
Our final day at PGL Little Canada began with packing up and preparing for the journey home — no small task given the sheer volume of suitcases, bags, muddy trainers and PGL souvenirs! Before we left, the children had one last burst of adventure with Laser Tag and more climbing, squeezing every last drop of fun from the trip.
The journey home was an epic one. The children were absolutely phenomenal. Despite being understandably tired, they moved swiftly and without complaint, carrying their own bags and cases (for the most part!) at a high pace to make sure we caught the ferry, and then again from the ferry to the coach. It was a serious effort involving a lot of walking and lifting, yet not a single moan. Just excellent attitudes, determination and smiles.
In fact, members of the public were commenting on how quickly, politely, and orderly the children were moving. They were an absolute credit to the school — true stars every one of them.
It’s been a fantastic trip from start to finish, full of adventure, challenge, and memories to last a lifetime. We arrived home safely on Friday evening, and while we’re all a little tired, we’re leaving with huge smiles and lots of stories to tell.
Thank you for all your support — we’re so proud of them.
A special thank you to Mrs Brand and Mrs Foster for organising the trip so expertly and diligently, as well as to Miss Lovell, Mrs Townshend, Mr Hoey and Mrs Beasley for all their hard work and dedication throughout the week away.
Mr Sloan
P.S. There will be more photos and videos from the trip to come!
