Parachutes, Rockets, and Research: Science Week Success!

This week we have challenged our children across the school to focus on thinking scientifically as a part of British Science Week. They worked in pairs and groups to ask a range of questions that they then designed experiments to investigate. We have seen parachutes, boats, bubble rockets, solids, liquids, gases, changes and much, much more. The week ended with a visit to the library by the winning group in each year who presented a poster about their learning to a team of our school governors, answering questions and demonstrating what they had learnt. Thank you to Mr Pounder for organising the week and to all the teachers for challenging the children’s thinking in such a range of engaging ways. Thank you to our governors too – they had a particularly tricky task I know!
