Spring Week 4 25.01.2021

Maths

In Maths this week we will be focussing on multiples, multiplication and division. Please use the resources below alongside the daily instructions to complete your work.

Mathletics      (If you need a reminder of your log in details, please email the Year 4 team)

Please complete the daily Mathletics or Rockstars tasks. You may find it useful to complete these tasks to start your Maths lesson. Remember to click the ‘i’ for a short video clip to help you.

Times Table Rockstars      (If you need a reminder of your log in details, please email the Year 4 team)

Please complete the 10 minutes of Times Tables Rock Stars ‘garage’ set for this week. Simply login and you will only be able to play in this game mode.  We highly recommend practising little and often, maybe 2 minutes each day. Of course, children can complete more games if they would like to and even challenge their friends in Rockslam.

For further advice on helping your child learn their tables please visit https://home.oxfordowl.co.uk/maths/primary-multiplication-division/help-with-times-tables/

Having checked your scores and progress last week, The Year 4 team are hoping that even more Year 4 children will complete the Mathletics and Rock Stars work set throughout this week.

If any additional support is needed please do not hesitate to contact us via yearfour@stokenchurchprimary.bucks.sch.uk.

Multiplication Games

LO – To use multiplication facts in games

Look at the four examples of games and activities using multiplication facts in the Resource Bank:

  • Multiplication dice game
  • Colour by multiplication
  • 4 x table board game
  • 9 x table fortune teller

Complete or play one of the activities and then use your experience to design and make your own multiplication game or activity.

Don’t worry if you can’t print off these examples as some can be copied onto paper at home e.g. the multiplication dice game. If you don’t have a dice you could use this online version:

https://www.random.org/dice/

We would really love to see pictures of your own versions and hope to add many of these examples to the Year 4 page of the school website.
