Welcome to Year 2

Our Year 2 Team...

Mrs Brand  (Year Leader) - Cherry Class

Miss Cetinich - Chestnut Class

Mrs Harris - HLTA

Miss Morris - TA

Room on the Broom

Thank you so much for supporting our Year 2 children and for helping them to access our Home learning. We are delighted that so many of you have been able to attend our live zoom sessions and it has been lovely to receive emails from lots of you and to see pictures of your home learning. If possible, please can you send one email each day containing your child's home learning rather than lots of separate ones? Thank you.

This week there will continue to be a daily English, Maths and Topic session found in the Home Learning Links below, along with some additional fun activities. A Y2 email address: is available if you have any questions or would like to share your child’s home learning. We hope you've had a chance to look at all the fabulous work in our home learning galleries.

As you are aware, for those children learning remotely, we will be offering a fortnightly phone call home. This week, children in Chestnut class will receive a call. Please follow the link below to find your allocated day and time slot.

With best wishes from Mrs Brand, Miss Cetinich, Mrs Harris and Miss Morris

Information about the Year 2 homework can be found by following the Homework link on the Stokenchurch Primary home page.

Your child's weekly spellings can be found stuck into their homework diary and also in the link below. Thank you for sending your children into school wearing their PE kits on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The Year 2 children have been working so hard over the past few weeks and we are extremely proud of them.

In DT the children have been designing and making vehicles with wheels and axles. They loved testing them in the centre and we were all very impressed when a few went over 5 metres with one small push. There are some photos for you to see in the link above.

Please can you make sure that all school uniform is clearly labelled with your child's name as  unnamed jumpers, cardigans and items of PE kit are frequently found. Thank you.

Well done to everyone playing lots of TTRS. We hope you have all now completed your first 'Gig' and that you are working hard to move up through the levels. Thank you for trying so hard.

Have you been challenged by any members of staff? Make sure you check your 'Rock Slam' link !
